Just because I have found love and enjoy life with marriage again
Does not mean that my heart is not broken, in my heart you remain
Just because our marriage was cut short, well before it was truly due
Does not mean a day thereafter, is ever a reason to stop loving you
Just because we were born a different year, time and date
Does not mean ever that were different, it means you were my soul-mate
Just because we are told life goes on and never in the past to dwell
Does not mean anything, I miss you, your friendship and it hurts like hell
Just because they took your life that day, your soul, not theirs to take
Does not mean either they took memories from when we sleep and wake
Just because I sit here alone writing this poem as a grieving friend and wife
Does not mean you should be alone, your loved by so many in life
Just because God took you into care and Kingdom the 15th day of June
Does not mean that I will ever understand the reason for it or not ask him this question:

When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little—but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that was once shared.
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take,
and each must go alone.
It’s all a part of the master’s plan,
a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
go to the friends we know.
Bear your sorrow in good deeds. Miss me,
